Charles Patrick Ryan O'Neal, Jr. was born April 20, 1941 is an American actor best known for his appearances on the ABC soap opera Peyton Place at night and in the 1970 film Love Story, for which he received Oscar and Golden Globe nominations as best actor.
Early life
O'Neal was born in Los Angeles, the eldest son of Patricia, who had an acting career, and Charles O'Neal, a Hollywood screenwriter who had also acted.
